Dear Members, Volunteers, and Friends,
Thanks to you and your unwavering support, this past year has been filled with excitement and growth at our beloved Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. You made possible many memorable moments, ranging from the unveiling of the newly restored Venom to the celebration of the arrival of the F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter, “Lone Wolf.” Your energy fueled one of the most exciting Air Show Watch Parties on record, with the thunder of the Blue Angels serving as a thrilling reminder of the discipline and dedication it takes to fly. Collectively, you provided us with the resources to carry out our mission and be a force of curiosity and courage for kids of all ages to gain the confidence to take flight. And for the thousands of school children who participated in our school tours and educational enrichment programs throughout the year, they experienced this in a truly meaningful way thanks to your support.
The impact of the work you make possible this year has been affirmed by visitors from around the world. We are thrilled to be recognized by MSN.com as Oregon’s Best Museum from their recently published “Best Museum In Every State” list earlier this year. Further, Yelp just named our Museum as a a beloved business, based on the consistent 5-Star ratings shared by our growing population of visitors and we continue to receive outstanding reviews on Google, Travel Oregon, and many other sources. These are just a few measures we can point to that demonstrate that the Museum is more than a collection of aircraft and space vehicles. It is a place of innovation and inspiration where people can come to enjoy, discover, and learn.
Looking ahead to 2024, there will be many opportunities for you to engage with all that the Museum offers. After ringing in the New Year with a festive 1940’s themed Hangar Dance in the Aviation Museum, we will turn our focus to a series of special events throughout the year. Please stay connected through this monthly newsletter and on our social media channels and website. You are also encouraged to contact membership@evergreenmuseum.org anytime you have a question.
We cannot do all we do without your support. We know there are countless other organizations and causes that deserve your attention. You are welcome to help us end the year strong by making a tax-deductible gift by December 31. Gifts will be matched, up to $5,000, thanks to a donation from one of our dedicated docents. Thank you in advance for demonstrating your confidence in the Evergreen Aviation & Space Museum through your thoughtful generosity and continued support.
Sincerely,
Tyson S. Weinert
