This Spring Break, the Museum is partnering with Snapology and the Carlton Observatory to host a camp jam-packed with STEAM-based fun. Accessible for 1st through 9th graders, this 10 am – 5 pm camp includes aviation and space curriculum, with lunch provided by the Aviator Café.
Build STEAM Skills with Snapology
Monday through Thursday campers will begin the day’s activities with Snapology. Using various building toys, Snapology teaches STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics) skills through creative play. While students are building and creating, they’ll also develop teamwork skills, expand problem solving techniques, and grow a foundation of knowledge that will help them for many years to come.
Take to the virtual skies and launch your own rocket!
On Wednesday, before partaking in an interactive flight training course, campers will learn about the four forces of flight: lift, gravity, thrust, and drag. Campers will even get the chance to build and launch their own paper rockets! Our flight training course teaches campers the basics of flight and is an activity that aviation enthusiasts won’t want to miss.
Learn from the experts at the Carlton Observatory
On Friday, experts from the Carlton Observatory will teach campers about telescopes and the wide world of space. The Carlton Observatory is a non-profit organization located on Evergreen’s campus. The Observatory’s goal is to encourage and inspire students, parents, educators, and visitors to learn, celebrate, and experience science in new and unique ways.
